Luma-Fuse™ is a high quality fault indicating fuse incorporating a built in bi-directional LED chip. Failed circuits are easily detected at a glance as the LED will light when the fuse blows regardless of current direction. The innovative design of Luma-Fuse™ began from the ground up, and is not simply a modified fuse with an indicator added later as with earlier incandescent or "glued on" LED light styles. The superior sensitivity of the Luma-Fuse™ LED chip even detects low currents such as found in memory keep alive circuits. The low current consumption, typically 2 mA on a 12 volt circuit, keeps drain on battery powered systems at a minimum, while allowing safe operation of the Luma-Fuse™ on circuits up to 32 volts.
